LIVES OF TWO MEN FOR 30 YEARS. ARRIVAL OF BOTH AT WELLINGTON By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The lives of two retired men who arrived at Wellington to-day by the Maunganui from San Francisco, each to visit his farmer nephew in New Zealand, seem to have been running almost parallel for the last thirty years or so. These two friends are Dr. M. Tancred Stack and Colonel G. A. P. Brown. Dr. Stack retired from his practice at Liverpool, England, four years ago after having been in his profession for 30 years. Colonel Brown retired from the army also four years ago after 32 years’ service in which he campaigned in South Africa, West Africa, India and the West Indies, France and, after the. Great War, in Ireland. Since both their retirements the colonel and the doctor have been travelling together in Switzerland, Italy and the United States. Dr. Stack has come to visit his nephew, Mr.. W. Saide, who is stationed at Glendhu, Central Otago. Colbnel Brown will see his nephew, Mr. Anthony Brown, who is farming near Feilding. They will probably return together to England via Java and Singapore in March or April.
