King George contemplates a visit to the south coast in the spring as a preliminary to his silver jubilee celebrations when he will face heavy engagements, says the Telegraph. The Queen recently visited Eastbourne and inspected the Duke of Devonshire’s seat, Compton- Place, at Eastbourne. The weather there would be dry and sunny when compared with spring at Sandringham.
