HIGH SCORES IN GRADES HAT TRICK IN COUNTRY DIVISION. FIVE WICKETS FOR THREE RUNS. The outstanding feature of this season’s play has been the number of centurymakers, and on Saturday two lower grade players made their contributions, one for the second time, bringing the total to eight. Despite the high scores made by the batsmen, some fine bowling averages have been returned. In the country competition J. Longstaff secured a hat trick, while L. Harris, New Ply mouth Old Boys B, took five wickets for 31 runs. HOW THE TEAMS FARED. NORTH TARANAKI. Senior A. High School (358 for five wickets declared and 35 for six wickets) beat Western Park (205) on the first innings. New Plymouth (230) beat Old Boys (96 and 160 for eight wickets) on the first innings.
