WAVERLEY GUN CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS SUCCESS OF CRICKET ELEVEN. The annual meeting of the Waverley Gun Club was held on Saturday. Mr. P. Bremer presided. Tn moving the adoption of the balancesheet, the chairman congratulated the club on its financial position. He presented the secretary, Mr. H. W. James, with a weather glass on behalf of the club as a mark of appreciation of his efforts in the past. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. J. W. Mills; president, Mr. R. Davies; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Haycock and S. Snushall; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. W. James; field secretary, Mr. H. Heginbotham; auditor, Mr. S. Snushall; club captain, Mr. H. Haycock; committee, Messrs. Moore-Hunter, R. Bates, F. Taunton and W. Dalrymple. | A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. R. H. Hughes for the use of his paddock, and to Mr. Dalrymple for acting as trapper. ' The winner of the trophy shoot held : the same afternoon was Mr. MooreHunter, and the runner-up was Mr. H. ; Heginbotham. Mr. Bremer presented the ; trophies. The Waverley Cricket Club played its ( first competition game on Saturday afternoon, beating Technical Old Boys by 53 ; runs, the scores being 107 to 54.
