WOMEN’S HOCKEY MATCH
GILMOUR CUP COMPETITION.
CITY SOUNDLY DEFEATS TUIS.
Playing under summer conditions at the New Plymouth racecourse on Saturday City defeated Tuis by 7. gpals to 1 in a women's hockey match for the Gilmour Cup competition. It was a hard game and the score was not a true indication of the strength of the teams. Tuis played four short and City one. The scorers were M. Hall (3), G. Beck (3), and N. Henderson (1). O. Mays scored the one goal for Tuis.
By winning the game City increased its total of points to five. Tuis, which has four points, is placed therefore at the bottom of the list of teams competing for the Gilmour Cup, .
