INGLEWOOD BEATS ST. ANDREW’S. INTER-CLUB BADMINTON PLAY. Inglewood beat St. Andrew’s in the Spalding Shield badminton semi-final at Inglewood on Wednesday. The final between Mokau and Inglewood will be played at New Plymouth on Tuesday. Details of the semi-final, with St. Andrew’s naiqes first, are:— Men’s Doubles: Dingle and Clement lost to Kay and Longbottom 3—15; Tavendale and Smart lost to Cox and Thorbum 7—15; Dingle and Clement beat Cox and Thorbum 15—7; Tavendale and Smart lost to Kay and Longbottom 6—15. Women’s Doubles: Misses L James and N. Waters lost to Mrs. Kay and Miss Longbottom 2—15; Misses M. Hamilton and J. MacGregor beat Misses Wilson and McElroy 15—13; Misses I. James and N. Waters beat Misses Wilson and McElroy 15—7; Misses M. Hamilton and J. MacGregor lost to Mrs. Kay and Miss Longbottom 3—15.
