GOLFING IN TARANAKI
MEDAL ROUND AT FITZROY. WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS. A medal match played by the Fitzroy Ladies' Golf Club yesterday was won by Mrs. Johnston. The best cards returned were:— Mrs. Johnston 103 —32 —71 Mrs. Weir 102-28—74 Mrs. Wagstaff 108-34-74 The limit handicap division was won by Mrs. Shepherd. The play-off for the limit division for last week was won by Mrs. Hall. The draw for a medaf round on Saturday is:—Miss Hammond and Miss Palmer, Miss Cox and Miss Kirton, Miss Barnard and Miss Courtenay, Miss Wcrnham and Miss Smith, Miss Pepper and Miss Anthony, Miss Devery and Miss Grey, Miss Hogg and Miss Jury, Miss Cliff and Miss Dalefield, Miss Roberts and Miss Carter, Miss Short and Miss Lovell. MANGAMINGI BOGEY MATCH. A bogey match played at the Mangamingi golf links at the week-end was won by E. G. Woodley 1 down. Next week-end a consolation prize will be played over 18 holes. GOLF MATCH POSTPONED. The women’s golf match between Stratford and Eltham, which was to have ■ been played at Eltham yesterday, was postponed owing to the wintry weather.
