HOARD FOUND AFTER DEATH
OLD MAN IN APPARENT POVERTY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 10. At an inquest it was discovered that though Alfred Robert Carey, aged 72, died in apparent poverty in a filthy bach last week, he had over £74, including 92 half-sovereigns, in the place, besides £7O in the Bank of New South Wales and £914 in the Post Office Savings Bank. The bach was filled with scrap metal and rubbish.
