That the rifle shots heard late on Saturday night were possibly the result of someone opossum shooting is the suggestion made by several Vogeltown residents. It will be recalled that Mr. R. Cock was awakened a year ago by what was believed to be a shot under somewhat similar circumstances. A Holstein heifer straying on the main south road in the vicinity of the Ngamotu golf links, New Plymouth, last night caxised several motorists to stop suddenly, fortunately no collisions occurred. U Qne of the most interesting features of the dairy number issued this morning is the business men’s announcements. Freely illustrated, they should be of considerable value to the farmer in selecting his personal and vocational requirements for the coming season.
