CYCLIST SHOT BY WOMAN
PILLION RIDER’S ACTION. Paris, Aug. 21. Some time ago. Marcelle Ravaleau left her husband for a young farmer, Antoine Albert, but his love cooled. Marcelle to-day proposed going for a motor-cycle run, and, seated on the pillion, she fired a revolver into Antoine’s back, killing him instantly. The cycle crashed and Marcelle, while lying on the roadside, turned the revolver on herself. Her condition is critical.
