After a discussion with an official of the Public Works Department extending over an hour the 20 men who refused to work at the Tauhei Camp reiterated their intention to stand firm until more equitable pay was provided. No undertakings could be given, but probably the position will be reviewed by the department. In the meantime the men still refuse work, although they returned to the camp last evening.
