EUCHRE PARTY AT KORITO
DISTRICT AND PERSONAL ITEMS. . The last of a series of euchre parties in aid of the Korito school funds, was held on Friday, when there was, a good attendance. Prizes were won by Miss Ivy Smith and Miss Dulcie Guilford (Egmont Village) and Mr. A. Bennie and Mr. R. Weston. Mrs. Fabish played for the dancing, with extras by Miss Lewis and Mr. A. Orchard (violin). Monte Carlo dances were won by Maisie May and Bruce Smith (juniors), Miss G. Peters and Mr. J. Larmer (Inglewood) and Miss O. Peters and Bruce Smith, Miss I. Herbert and Miss J. Hine. Messrs. R. Weston and J. Martin were masters of ceremonies. The points prizes for this series are to be presented at the next dance. Mr. and Mrs. L. Herbert, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orchard, have ■' left for Pukearuhe. Miss Lewis has returned from Wanganui, where she spent the vacation. Miss Phillis Hancock, who has been the guest of Miss N. Kemp, has returned to New Plymouth. MiSs P. Baker, who has been in hospital, has recovered. Messrs. C. and R. Weston motored to Hunterville on Thursday, to attend the funeral of Mr. Weston's brother.
