CRICKET CLUB DANCE
SUCCESSFUL BRIXTON FUNCTION. The Brixton Cricket Club held a successful dance in the Huirangi Hall on Monday night, a large number of residents attending. Music was supplied by Rowe’s orchestra. Messrs. N. Denton and R. Wells junr. were masters of ceremonies. Euchre in charge of Messrs. E. Andrews and W. McCaul was well patronised, 14 tables being engaged. Prizes were won as follow: Ladies, Miss MacNeill, 11J games, 1; Mrs. Faigen and Mrs. Thompson, 11 games each, 2; special, Miss J. Bint. Men, Mr. Richards, 12 games, 1, A. Giddy, 11J games, 2, W. Baker, special. A toilet set worked and donated by Mrs. W. McCaul was won by Mr. G. Petersen. Monte Carlo dances were won by Mr. N. Bint and Miss Y. Richmond and Mr. J. Belski and Mrs. Watson. Supper was served by the ladies’ committee. The club'will benefit by over £6.
