WELLINGTON GOLFING
RESULT OF QUALIFYING ROUNDS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In ideal weather 70 competitors in the Wellington provincial golf championship tournament played the qualifying rounds at Heretaunga yesterday. D. O. Whyte and Rana Wagg headed the qualifying list over 36 holes with rounds of 74 and 75 and 76 and 73 respectively. Others who qualified are M. Bowring, J. L. Black, A. Duncan, W. G. Horne, H. K. Adamson, P. Savage, E. G. Toogood, D. G. Whitcombe, J. B. Parker, G. P. Roberts, F. H. Kember, W. Cook, P. W. Blundell and K.. J. Jeffrey.
