tennis match AGAINST TAINUI. TONGAPORUTU TENNIS CUP. Tire results of a tennis match played at the week-end between Mokau and Tainui at Tainui was a win for Tainui. Results, Mokau players being mentioned first, are: — Men’s singles:—C. Hepburn lost to L. Bartlett 3—9, N. Clifton lost to J. Waters 3—9, P. Sheen lost to K. Bryant 3—9, A. Ericksen beat D. Montgomerie 9—3. Ladies singles:— Mrs. Beattie lost to Miss : M. Bartlett 4—7, Mrs. Black lost to Miss Cowper I—7, Mrs. Gough lost to Miss L. Bartlett I—7, Mrs. Northern beat Mrs. Richards 7—4. Combined doubles: —Mrs. Beattie and Hepburn lost to Miss M. Bartlett and Bartlett 3—9, Mrs. Gough and Clifton lost to Miss Cowper and K.
