TE KIRI’S ENJOYABLE PICNIC
SCHOOL PARTY VISITS TE NGUTU. Tlie annual Te Kiri school picnic was held at Te Ngutu on Friday. It was a fair day and there was a good attendance of parents and friends and everybody enjoyed the day’s outing. The teachers left no stone unturned to make it a great success. Sports results are:— ¥ Juniors: Boys 50 yards, lan Stewart 1, Maurice Watson 2; girls 50 yards, June Tindle 1, Stella Wemyss 2; girls 50 yards backwards, Nyla Lockly 1, Gloria Huwiller 2; mixed three-legged, Nyla Lockly and Eunice Dobbs 1, Stella Wemyss and June Tindle 2; potato race (mixed), Gloria Huwiller 1, Stella Wemyss 2. Intermediate: Boys 75 yards, Jack Harrison 1, Tom Harrison 2; boys wheelbarrow, Jack Tindle and Walter Thomas 1, Alan Thomas and lan Stewart 2; girls 75 yards, Margaret Stewart 1, June Death 2; sack race (mixed), Doris Dobbs 1, Molly Huwiller 2; potato race, Molly Thomas 1, Joyce Harrison 2; sack race, Audry Watson 1, Gloria Huwiller 2. Seniors: Boys 100 yards, Ber. Marshall 1, Ron Death 2; girls 100 yards, Doris Dobbs 1, Molly Huwiller 2; potato race, Kathleen Mulligan 1, Molly Huwiller 2; three-legged, Dawn Clements and Audry Watson 1, June Death and Nola Pointon 2. Single ladies: Miss Peggy Templeton 1, Miss Annie Templeton 2; married ladies, Mrs. Dobbs 1, Mrs. Stewart 2; single men, Ron Death 1; married men, Roy Bloxham and J. Templeton 1.
