MANCHESTER UNITY
MEETING AT' INGLEWOOD. Between thirty and forty members and visitors attended the quarterly meeting of the Loyal Inglewood Lodge at Inglewood last night. The principal chairs were filled by the . following officers: N.G., Bro. A. Cattle; V.G., Bro. L. Kohn; F.S., Bro. J. Ross; warden, Bro. Thompson; guardian, Bro. Ward; E.S., Bro. C. Boeock. The N.G. briefly welcomed the visitors and district officers (Bros. E. Woodley, J. Walton, H. Bennett and N. B. Bellringer). After the initiation of three new members the district G.M. Bro. Woodley addressed the meeting. He thanked the'N.G. for ‘the welcome they had received and expressed appreciation of the numbers present. The Loyal Inglewood Lodge had made good progress during the year and had for the second time won the trophy for the greatest increase’ in membership on a percentage basis. This showed the enthusiasm of the members and was a record of which the lodge might well be Pl Bro’ Bennett, D.D.G.M., confined his remarks to the objects and benefits of the society. ' An international gathering, he said, was to be held in London in May, when delegates from all nations would be present representing over six million members. ' He urged members to become regular attenders at meetings and take an active interest in the lodge W< Analysis of sick pay, finances, investments and comparisons were touched on by Bro. Bellringer. These showed that the lodge was in a sound financial position and that it had made excellent progress during the two years it had been in operation. w
