QUAKE DEATHS 10,000
INCALCULABLE DAMAGE IN INDIA. NO PROSPERITY FOR MANY YEARS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Calcutta, Feb. 5. An official statement says that there were 7000 deaths in Bihar-Orissa and 2800 in Nepal in the recent earthquake. The damage at Bihar is incalculable and at Nepal it is estimated at £750,000. The Governor of Bihar declares that many years and enormous sums of money will be required before the prosperity of the province will be restored.
