VISIT OF PRINCE GEORGE
VICTORIA SEEKS FIRST LANDING. ADDITIONAL EXPENSE INVOLVED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Jan. 27. The Minister of Health, Mr. C. W. C. Marr, has been appointed to co-ordinate in the programme for Prince George’s tour," on behalf of the Commonwealth. The Sydney Morning Herald says that an important point to be settled is the State which Prince George will first visit. Victoria naturally desires the Prince’to land first at Melbourne. On the other hand, if the Prince proceeds to New Zealand from Australia it will involve much additional expenditure of time and money if he is to visit Victoria first, and then retrace his steps to Western Australia.
