KAWEORA CAMP CONCERT
VISIT BY OPUNAKE PARTY. The Kaweora camp personnel provided a warm reception for the artists taking part in the concert arranged by the Rev. Lambert and Mrs. Lambert, Opunake. The concert took place in the camp dining hall. A large audience was present, including many visitors. An improvised stage was erected. The hall was decorated. After the concert the visitors were entertained at supper and were thanked. An enjoyable dance followed the concert and the social committee provided every facility for those present to make the dance an enjoyable one. The following concert items were given: Violin solo, Miss Smith; monologue, Mr. Lambert; song, Mrs. Lambert; recitation, Mr. Devlin; song, Mr. F. Kapa; sketch, Mr. and Mrs. Lambert; monologue, Mr. Lambert; song (For You Alone), Mr. E. Clarke, with violin obligato by Miss Smith; recitation, Mr. E. Hughes; playlet, Mr. Lambert; song, Mr. S. Downing; playlet, Mr. and Mrs. Lambert; violin solo, Miss Smith. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. Lambert and Miss Smith.

The cheesemakers’ plain and fancy dress masked ball will be held in the Kakaramea hall on Tuesday, February 6.
