JUDGMENTS FOR DEBT
CLAIMS MADE AT NEW PLYMOUTH. Judgment by default was given by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., on the following claims for debt at New Plymouth yesterday: George and Doughty, Ltd. v. W. Hope, £1 ss. (costs 8s.); Taranaki County Council v. William P. Nicoll, £9 Is. Id. (£1 12s. 6d.). A judgment summons order was made against Robert J. Stockbridge to pay Lance Frethey £5 17s. sd. and 15s. 6d, forthwith, in default seven days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended during the payment of 10s. a week. G. E. Grover was ordered to pay H. Quinn £8 Us. and 15s. 6d. costs forthwith, in default seven days’ imprisonment. Two orders were made in favour of the New Plymouth Sash and Door Co., Ltd. The first was against A. S. Hill, to pay £4 ss. 2d. forthwith, in default five days’ imprisonment, and the other against J. W. Scandlyn, to pay £1 18s. forthwith, in default two days’ imprisonment. At the suit of J. H. Holm and Co. J, G. Boulton was ordered to pay £1 17s. 9d, forthwith, in default imprisonment for three days.
