WAITARA COMMUNITY SING

CONCLUSION OF SERIES REACHED. The community sings which have been held in the Waitara Methodist Sunday school room during the winter months were brought to a conclusion on Wednesday evening, when about 80 persons were present. The singing was led by Mr. F. Silby and all the choruses were sung in good style. An orchestra consisting of Miss T. Cuming (piano), Mr, D. Locke (cornet) and Mr. C. King (violin) supplied the music. Miss Cuming and Mrs. Crow played a pianoforte duet, Mr. D. Locke a cornet solo, Miss Cuming a piano duet, Mr. C. King a violin so to end Mrs. Gardiner a recitation. An amusing sketch by Mrs. Cuming, Misses Cuming (2), Misses Crow, Dorset and J. Wakely was appreciated. Supper was provided and the Rev. W. B. Cuming thanked all those who had assisted in making the gatherings the success they were. TIDE-TABLES, SUN AND MOON,
