RUGBY LEAGUE PROGRAMME
NO MATCH ON SEPTEMBER 16. PARK APPLICATION CANCELLED. The Taranaki Rugby League Centre has received telegraphed advice from the New Zealand Rugby League instructing it to cancel the tentative application for Pukekura Park sportsground on September 16. No reason was given in the telegram, which intimated that an explanation would be forwarded by mail. The Taranaki Centre has accordingly advised the Pukekura Park Sportsground Committee that the ground will not be required on September 16, but in doing so has stated that it is understood the proposed visit of the Australian team has not been cancelled, and the centre might require the park at a later date.
