RAWHITIROA NEWS
TWO MORE CRIB EVENINGS. The Rawhitiroa Cribbage Club held another successful tournament on Thursday evening. There was an excellent attendance. Mrs. S. Martin, Miss D. Robinson, Messrs. G. V. Thame and A. M. Wilson tied, with nine games each, for first place, Miss Robinson being the eventual winner. Supper . was served by the entertainment committee. It was decided to hold at least two more tournaments before the close of. the season, and to finalise the competition for the points prize - after six series of games had been completed. Personal Items. Mrs. F. E. Silver is visiting her brother, Mr. E. Hird, Wellington, who is indisposed. Mr. T. J. Griffin, school inspector, paid an official visit to the Rawhitiroa school Inst week. Mr. T. Thame, Hurleyville, has been visiting his brother, Mr. G. V. Thane, Rawhitiroa. Miss Phyllis Street, Egmont Village, was the guest of Miss E. Belcher for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. E. Fletcher, who have been staying with friends at Ngaere since their departure from Rawhitiroa, have now taken up residence near Waitotara..
