EUCHRE AND DANCE PRIZES. The first of the second series of four euchre parties was held in the Oakui'a hall on Tuesday night The attendance was fair. The ladies’ prizes' were won by Mrs. Jack Jans first and Miss Jessie McGregor second,, several tying for third pice. The men’s first prize went to Mr. Jim Harland, several re-playing for second and third places. Supper was served by the ladies’ committee. Music for the dance was supplied by Mis, Martin and Mr. Martin, Mr. E. Hoskin playing an extra. The ping pong tournament was postponed on Saturday night owing to wet weather. Mrs. D. Harvey and Mr. Tom Jury are the present holders of the badges. A keenly-awaited football match between Tataraimaka (challengers) and Oakura has been postponed twice owing to the weather. Wether permitting, it will, be held this week-end. Mrs. W. Harvey, Onaero, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. D. Harvey. Miss Fay Bell is visiting relatives at Auckland. Mrs. Rusling and Miss Maisie Rusting are spending a few days at New Plymouth.
