LONG WAIT FOR MONEY. RACING PEER’S BEQUEST. Under the will, recently published, of Lord Wavertree, the racehorse owner, a schoolboy of 16 becomes heir to a fortune which may amount to over £lOO,OOO. Lord Wavertree, who died on February 2 last, at the age of 76, left £838,290, with net personality £749,408. The fortunate youth, Byron Harvey Talbot, is the son of Mrs. Dorothy Talbot, widow of Lieut.-Colonel D. H. Talbot. Lord Wavertree was his greatuncle. According to the terms of the will the residue of the property is to accumulate for 21 years, and is to be held in trust for the boy. He will thus be 37 before he receives any income from the bequest. . A friend of the family stated in an interview that Lord Wavertree did not often see Byron Talbot, "but enough to like him very much.” The actual amount of the legacy, it was explained, depended on the realisation of real estate. To his wife, who is provided for by marriage settlement, Lord Wavertree left £lOOO and his house, Underwood, Bournemouth, and his household effects. His diaries ar.d correspondence are left to his executors, but no publication is to be made until 10 years from his death. The testator also made the following bequests:—Racing cups and trophies to the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; yachting cups to the Royal Yacht Squadron; £2OOO to Lady Wavertree s secretary, Annette M. Drew; £lOOO to his butler, Robert Matthews; £lOOO to his servant and groom, Arthur Bridges; £3OO to his housekeeper, Jessie Macleod; £5OO to his chauffeur, Harry Groom; £5OO to his bailiff, Arthur Bratt; £2OO each to Alfred Conkey and George Conkey, grooms; one year’s wages to other servants of two years service. In addition £2OOO each is left to the David Lewis Northern Hospital, the Blue Coat Hospital, Liverpool, Chester Royal Infirmary and Harrow School,
