REQUESTS FROM FARMERS
HAWKE’S BAY UNION REMITS.
By Telegraph—Press Association.
Dannevirke, June 2.
Remits to the Dominion executive from the Southern Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Union include the favouring of legislation for State lotteries and the condemnation of the Government using increased petrol taxation for raising revenue instead of derating farm lands. A proposal that the Dominion conference be requested to move for a guarantee of minimum prices for produce consumed in the Dominion in the event of a general credit breakdown was negatived.
