SPORT AND GENERAL ITEMS. A tennis dance held in the Mahoenui hall on Wednesday was well attended by the young people and visitors from Mokau. The music by Miss Hansen was appreciated. Messrs J. Tubman and S. Roberts were masters of ceremonies. The local champions have recommenced their weekly wrestling practices. _ A gymnasium club for both ladies and men has been formed and a large number of enthusiasts has already enrolled Last Saturday being a bye for the Mahoenui football team, several supporters motored to Ahititi to witness the Okau v. Awakino match, which was won by the latter team. PERSONAL ITEMS. Mr. and Mrs. Thorensen have returned from a holiday in the Dannevirke and Raetihi districts. They visited the Tonga-, riro National Park. Mrs. Gichard, Tauranga, has returned home after visiting Mrs. P. Hansen. Miss Worboys has returned after spending the school vacation with her parents at Remuera, Auckland. Mrs. T. Davidson and family, who have been visiting Mrs. James Old, have returned to Otorohanga. Mr. S. Roberts has returned from a motor tour of the Waikato. Mr. and Mrs. Addenbrooke and family have returned home after a holiday in Taranaki. Mrs. Roy Old is visiting Otorohanga. Mr. and Mrs. Moss and family have returned from Raetihi. Miss Abraham has. resumed duties at Ngatarawa School after spending the holidays at New ■ Plymouth. Miss M. Gribbon, who is in hospital at New' Plymouth, is making steady progress. ,
