MEDICAL ASSOCIATION MEETS. The annual general meeting of Awa-kino-Mokau Medical Association was held in the Mokau hall on Thursday afternoon. Mr. F. G. Northern presided over a good attendance. The balancesheet, Showing a credit balance, was adopted. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. F. G. Northern; secretary, Mrs. W. D. Black; committee, Mesdames E. Lewis, E. L. Black and J. K. Black, Messrs. F. Midt and H. L. Northern and C. Raven. Mr. H. J. Gray was re-ap-pointed auditor. The secretary was instructed to inform Sister Harris that the association’s appreciation of the services she had rendered were placed on record and to extend to her‘’the association’s best wishes for her success on her new venture. A vote of thanks to the secretary and the chairman closed the meeting. Basketball Meeting.. A meeting of the basketball club was held in . Awakino hall on Wednesday night. Mrs. H. May presided. Mrs. May and Mrs. Marsh were appointed joint secretaries in place of Miss L. Cowper, who resigned. Mrs. Carrington’s resignation was accepted and Miss M. Wolfe was appointed in her place. The secretaries were instructed to write to the other clubs entering for the competition for the Sheppard Shield to suggest commencing the first round at the beginning of June. Dental Clinic Funds. A euchre and dance party in aid of the dental clinic was held in the hall on Friday night. Prizes for the euchre were won by Mrs. Coleman 1, Mrs. A. C. Richards 2, Mr. Coleman 1, Mr. K. Bryant 2, Miss M. Calvert and Mr. A. Mason consolation prizes. Music for the dance was played by Mrs. McNeice (piano), Messrs. L. Bryant and Johnston (violins).
