According to the doctors Gandhi has entered the critical final three days and is now suffering physical weakness. He is unable to move and speaks in the merest whisper. He may collapse at any moment. The doctors say there is just a chance of his pulling through. There is speculation as to what will happen on Monday when the. three weeks’ fast is completed. Desa, his private secretary, declared that Gandhi would return to gaol if there was no compromise with the Government.
