Mrs. J. Stephenson has returned from New Plymouth, where she spent some days with her mother, Mrs. Greatbatch. Mrs. R. Hughson has returned from Toko, where she .was the guest of Mrs.. A. Raynor.
Mrs. E. M. Griffin was hostess at afternoon tea on Thursday. Mrs. Edmonds, snr., was hostess at a bridge party at the beach pavilion on Monday afternoon- Two tables were used for play and there was some very interesting bridge. Mrs. Edmonds received her guests in a frock of black floral . satin. Those present were Mesdames C> A. Smith, T. N. Watt, J. Downey, R. Jenkin, C. O. Edmonds, C. H. Marcroft and G. C. Watson (Cambridge).
