SOUTH TARANAKI CROQUET

MESDAMES HARDING AND HEY WIN. MRS. MASTERS WINS BEST GAME. Rain hampered play in the South Taranaki croquet tournament yesterday. There were some close matches, particularly that between Mesdames Masters and McKay, won by the former by one point. This game produced excellent croquet, the best of the tournament. Mrs. Masters was slow in starting but finished with good breaks and pegged out one of her opponent’s balls. Mrs. McKay had a very long shot at the peg but missed, leaving her opponent to finish.
