CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN-WATER RACE DECLARATION OF HANDICAPS. . Handicaps for the Flannagan Cup race for the Taranaki open water swimming championship, to be swum from a point off Kawaroa Park, New Plymouth, to the East End beach on Saturday were declared yesterday. Twenty entries have been received for the race, the names including H. St. George (Fitzroy Club), J. Blyth and A. Ryan (Hawera), who have contested keenly all the long distance races in Taranaki this season, and J. Carde (Wanganui). The declarations of the handicappers, Messrs K. J. Staunton and R.
