PART OF SHIPMENT REFUSED
CARGO OF BANANAS FROM SAMOA. INSPECTION OF THE FRUIT MADE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington Last Night. The steamer Maui Pomare took a full shipment of 6570 cqses of bananas after rejecting 1000 cases as unfit, states the Press Association’s correspondent at Apia. Mr. A. McFarlane, Christchurch, representing the successful tenderer for the 1933 output of Samoan bananas, visited Apia and inspected the packing and handling of the bananas prior to shipment.
