One final was reached at the Dominion croquet tournament at Lower Hutt and Petone to-day. Miss Beal (Kawaroa Park, Taranaki), by defeating the Rev. Tye by 26 to 4, won the B grade handicap singles. The previous day’s rain improved the greens, which were in good condition. Results are: Handicap singles, B grade final: Miss Beal (6J) beat the Rev. Tye (s|), 26—4. Women’s championship: First life, second round: Mrs. Scandrett beat Mrs. Savage 26—13, Mrs. Gambrill beat Miss Bell 26—23, Mrs. Tiffen beat Mrs. Jarvie 26—11. Second life, first round: Mrs. Tingey beat Mrs. Johnson 26—23, Mrs. Brass beat Mrs. Palmer 26—23, Mrs. Walker beat Mrs. Clark 26—17, Mrs. Henderson beat Mrs. Simpson 26—25, Mrs. Caldow beat Miss A. Brown 26—4, Mrs. Pitcaithly beat Mrs. Hogan 26—16. Championship doubles: First round: E. Managh and Mrs. Bartlett beat E. Johnson and Miss A. Brown, H.' P. Stratton and Mrs. Palmer beat Mrs. Williamson and Miss Bell 26—9. Semi-final: H. P. Stratton and Mrs. Palmer beat A. G. F. Ross and Mrs. Caldow 26—16.
