WAITARA NEWS
NO CHANGE IN WORKS DISPUTE. There was nothing to report at the conclusion of this morning’s meeting of freezing works unionists. The president, Mr. T. B. Ewens, is attending several meetings at Wellington and he is not expected to return for a few days. Ah endeavour is being made by the president and secretary of the Waitara Seaside Society to arrange for a special Sunday train to Waitara at a date to be arranged. It is thought that outside districts are not acquainted with the merits of the Waitara beach and its appointments, and a special train would help to popularise the resort.
