entertainments and general. An excellent entertainment was given at the Inglewood Parish Hall on Monday night in aid of the hall funds. The first part of the programme consisted of concert items by Mesdames ■ Torrens, Feaver and Harrington, Misses Petch, Messenger and J. Morton, Messrs. Feaver, Peacock, D. McAllister, Kohu and Smith. The second part consisted of an amusing farce , entitled “Feed the Brute,” the parts being ably acted by Misses Messenger arid Petch and Mr. Peacock. There was an appreciative audience. The concert was produced under the direction of Mr. Peacock. The Presbyterian Scout and Cub Troup under the superintendence of the Rev.,.R. Keenan.-as ..subnias.ter has- goneinto camp on Mr. F. Boys Home band met with a - very., good' reception, on Monday when it toured the country districts between Tariki_ and Inglewood playing carols. The band, was conducted by Major Perry..assisted by Captain Read, Inglewood. Beginning at Tariki the band visited Rugby, Norfolk, Duham and Dudley Road, ’ and Went via Bedford Road to Inglewood.
