GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Gordon, seven-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Jury, died at New Plymouth on Sunday. As. a mark of sympathy with'and respect for Mr. and Mrs. Jury the school committee has decided to postpone indefinitely the annual school concert which was to have been held on Thursday, as Gordon was one of the pupils to have taken part. The Christmas tree afternoon arranged by the Women’s Institute, of which Mrs. Jury is a member, for Saturday at Mrs. L. Sarten’s residence; has been postponed till some time in the new year. The rain.which fell during the weekend was very beneficial to the farming community of the district. . ’Audrey Beaven was in the pair winning the senior doubles championship at the New Plymouth Girls’ High School.
