THIRTEEN SAILORS DROWN

TEMPEST CAPSIZES TRAWLER.

NORWEGIAN HARBOUR TRAGEDY.

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Oslo, Nov. 7.

Thirteen sailors were drowned when a tempest capsized the trawler Golden Deepest, sheltering at Breiviksbotn. The vessel dropped both anchors during a lull and the captain and two passengers landed. With the renewal of the tempest the ship dragged her anchors and overturned.

The ship was in sight of spectators on shore, while the crew were frantically struggling to cast new anchors, some of them clung to the rigging until overwhelmed, and others tried vainly to swim ashore. The storm precluded rescue.
