FRENCH DISARMAMENT PLAN
LEADERS REACH COMPROMISE. REMODELLING OF THE FORCES. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Paris, Oct. 25. The Committee of National Defence is still wrestling with the French disarmament plan. It is reported that the Minister of M. Meyer, is prepared to agree to the naval proposals only on the condition that England reduces her naval armaments proportionately. A later message states that M. Boncour, Minister of War, and General Weygand have achieved a compromise. It is understood that the scheme involves remodelling of the permanent forces and reserves, under which all nations will be able to tabulate identical categories.
