Sir Austen Chamberlain, in answer to a question, said that the Irish Free State had withheld £1,750,000 to July 15, when the British special duties came into<- operation, and £564,000 between July 15 and October 15. The revenue from special duties in the latter period was £503,000. Mr. L. Hore-Belisha informed the questioner that the revenue to September 30 under the Impoi't Duties Act was £1,181,000, under the Abnormal Importations Act £1,356,000, and under the Horticulture Products Act £752.000.
