A warning that business must play a part in restoring prosperity or hand industry over to the Government was given by Mr. H. H. Stevens, Minister of Customs, addressing the Canadian Manufacturers’ Association. With the world s work, at a standstill the leaders of industry, helpless and in despair, were demanding that the Government should find a way out. “Why not find markets yourselves rather than lean on the Governments to pull you out of the hole?” asked Mr. Stevens.
