UNEMPLOYMENT IN BRITAIN
ANALYgIS QF THE FIGURES. British Official Wireless. Ree. 5.5 p.m.' ' Rugby, June 7. In connection with the figures of employment and unemployment given in the statement of the Ministry of Labour for May, it is estimated that approximately 9,402,000 insured persons between the ages of 16 and 64 were employed on May 23. The unemployed, which included 430,82 s women, 69,587 boys and 5,041 girls, comprised 2,001,227 wholly 630,664 temporarily stopped and 109,515 normally in casual employment.
