BASKETBALL COMPETITIONS. (From Our Own Correspondent.)' The euchre party in the Warea Hall last Wednesday was to have been the last of the series of fortnightly parties held by the Ladies’ Guild, but owing to the very large attendance the committee decided to hold another. The winners at ouchre were Miss Ruby Goodiji and Mr. H. Johns. Mr. H. N. Chapman is still an inmate of the New Plymouth (Public Hospital. Mrs. Staples is staying with her mother, Mrs. Trye. The basketball players so far have been favoured with fine weather for their cup matches. The results of the matches played on Saturday are: Warea A 6 v. Rahotu A 3, Okato 10 v. Warea B 6.
