DEPARTURE OF ADMIRAL BLAKE.

CEREMONIES ON THE WARSHIPS.

Naval ceremony on the occasion of Naval ceremony on the octasion of the arrival of Commodore F. Burges Watson w’as observed on the Diomede, Veronica and Laburnum to-day. Commodore Watson’s pennant was hoisted on the Veronica this morning and -the new commodore visited the Diomede, he being ■received aboard by Rear-Admiral Geoffrey Blake. Commodore Watson inspected the division and afterwards returned to the Veronica.

Admiral Blake then held his last parade of the division. Later he was rowed ashore by officers X)f the Diomede. At sunset the flag of Admiral Blake was struck. To-morrow Commodore Watson will have his flag hoisted on the Diomede and salutes will be fired in honour of the departure of Admiral Blake and the arrival of the nev commodore.
