FATAL AUCKLAND CRASH

COLLISION WITH POLICE LORRY.

VICTIM’S MATE GRAVELY HURT.

One man was killed and another was injured seriously when a light motorlorry in which they were riding collided with the back of a heavy .motor truck parked outside the Freeman’s Bay police station to-night. The victims were: James Naughton, a fr ed 37, married, of College Hill, killed; Alfred Best, aged 33, single, of Cook Street, injuries, condition serious. The motor truck with which the lorry collided was being used for the.conveyance of special constables and-was waiting outside the Freeman’s Bay police station.
