Following the wreck of the Taisei Maru the weather is moderating. Everybody was rescued, but the ship and cargo are a total loss. The Taisei Maru, from Hakodate, while proceeding to the northern fisheries, was totally wrecked near Okihaya. Nine hundred and fifty fishermen were passengers.
