RECHABITE ORDER
UNITY TENT SOCIAL. Under the auspices of. Unity _ Tent, No 18, 1.0. R., a social was held in the Foresters’ Hall, New Plymouth, on Tuesday night, when there was a large gathtering of members and friends. The District Chief Ruler, Bro. C. H. Bascand, Christchurch, was present and was introduced by the Provincial Chief Ruler, Bro. P. Hopkins. During the evening Bro. Martin spoke at length on matters in connection with the order, urging members to endeavour to increase the membership of their This occasion being the 57th anniversarv Provincial Chief Ruler Bro. P. Hop- £’ briefly outlined the tent’s history. The following musical programme was aiven: Quartette, Bro. Leo Davies and Sarty; cornet solo, Mr. Melody; pianofnrtß solo Mr. Frednc; recitation, Miss fpmlson ’whistling solo, Miss Rothery. a wpre aiven by Mr. N. Roberts, SisCoS Bros. W. P. Okey and R. A. Cocker. The accompaniments were played by Mr. Fredric.
