PLEASANT FUNCTION AT ALTON.
Friends of Mr. and Mrs. 6. Hodge were entertained in the Alton Hall on Tuesday night after th© Hardenberg— Hodge wedding at Hawera during the day. Dancing and social items were enjoyed by a large number of guests. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Mr. and Mrs. W. Taylor. Songs .were sung by Misses Gladys Lees (Okaiawa) and Ada Whyte, Messrs. J. Crawford and S. Anderson. The M.C. for the evening was Mr. A. Crawford (Okaiawa).
