PARTY AT PUKENGAHU.
A kitchen tea party was tendered Miss Norma Newlove at Mrs. Deaths home at Pukengahu last week in honour of Miss Newlove’s approaching marriage. Among the guests present were Mesdames Death (-1), Briscoe, Dick, O’Neill, Brown, McKinley, 6. Coleman, Newlove, McPhail (2), Mehrtens, Craig, Johnston, Schumacher, Walmsley, Smith, 'Scown, Fowler, Misses Death (2), Mehrtens (2), Coleman (2), Stockman, Johnston, Craig, Newlove (2), Smith and 'Schumacher. Competitions were held, Mrs. L. McPhail and Mrs. O’Neill being the winners. Much appreciated items were given by Misses E. Mehrtens and E. Newlove. The bride-to-be received many gifts, Miss Mehrtens making the presentation.
